Contract Flooring Claimed

Quality By Association

The CFA aims to support its members in developing sustainable, highly productive businesses that supply and install commercial floor coverings. Recognised as the voice of the industry, we achieve this by providing essential business services and expert information that promote industry standards, professionalism, quality, safety, and training.

The Contract Flooring Association was formed in 1974 by the amalgamation of three small flooring associations: The Floor Covering Contractors Association, whose members specialised primarily in smooth floor coverings: The Association of Flooring Contractors (hardwood flooring) and the Carpet Planners Association.

The CFA's membership accounts for a significant proportion of the quality companies, both large and small, in the UK commercial flooring market and includes commercial flooring contractors, manufacturers, distributors and consultants. Members work across a wide range of contract flooring finishes: carpets, underlays, vinyls, rubber, timber, adhesives and flooring accessories.

All members have passed the CFA membership vetting process defining a good track record and are quality companies offering a high standard of supply and installation. Through the CFA they all have access to up-to-date technical, environmental and quality Standards and all adhere to a Code of Conduct.

With such a high level of commitment from so many companies and individuals, the CFA has a wealth of resources at its fingertips. It is this breadth and depth of information that makes it so much more than just a trade association.
